Tournament terms
- A competitor must be an amateur as defined by the current Rules of Amateur Status.
- The Championship shall comprise of 54 holes of stroke play, which will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A Rules Ltd and with the Local Rules approved by the Organising Committee.
- Entry will be limited to 60 competitors who will play two rounds over the New Course on Saturday 3 June and 18 holes over the Old Course on Sunday 4 June 2023. NB: All competitors will play 54 holes.
- In the event of a tie after three rounds, the winner will be decided by a sudden death play-off over holes 1 and 18. Ties for other places will be decided on the lowest score for the last 18 holes or the last 9 or 6 or 3 or 1 hole. In the event of there still being a tie, the scores on the first 9 or 6 or 3 or 1 hole will be considered. Subsequently if still tied, a hole-by-hole match play summary should be used. If still tied, the scores for the 2nd round will be treated in the same way until a decision is reached.
- Clubs and Balls: The Model Local Rules in the Rules of Golf are in effect regarding Conforming Driver Heads, Conforming Golf Balls and Groove and Punch Marks.
- Pace of Play: Conditions will be distributed at Registration.
- Anti-Doping: A competitor must not knowingly make use of any drug to enhance her performance. A competitor must, if requested, submit to a random drug test. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
- Transportation: During a round, a player or caddie must not ride on any form of motorised transportation except as authorised or later approved by the Committee.
- The Committee reserves the right to disqualify any competitor making a false statement on her entry form or to refuse or reject any entry without giving reason for its decision.
- The Competitor shall start at the time laid down by the Committee.
- The Committee reserves the right to fix and/or alter starting times and to alter or amend any of the conditions.
- The Committee’s decision in all disputes is final.
